Our Services
Through a deep understanding of the needs of walkers, we provide services to inform strategy, planning and action for walkability.
Data & Research
We conduct surveys, data reporting and tailored research projects to inform decision making. Through accessible and credible data sources and surveys, we bring information to life in a way that is logical and answers key questions.
Our reporting provides a crucial tool for benchmarking that assists with measuring outcomes. Tailored research provides a richer understanding of how people travel in a municipality and provides the background to actions and interventions that ensure communities are more liveable.
Audits
We provide audits for built environment and nature-based walking to detail actions for improvement.
Built-environment audits: streets that are safe and convenient for walking are key to sustainable, healthy and equitable communities. We provide best-practice and systematic walkability audits of activity centres, schools and public transport to plan for better walking experiences.
Nature-based all access audits: we know that being in nature enhances well-being. Our All-access Audits provides clear and actionable plans to ensure everyone, including people living with a disability can enjoy nature trails. Through a partnership with Scope, our All-access Audit was developed in conjunction with people who live with a disability.
STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT
We bring extensive experience in engaging with stakeholders, be it in presenting to all levels of government to bring about change or engaging community members in positive change for walking outcomes.
Through clear and compelling messaging, we target our engagement methodology for the intended audiences based on outcomes required. Expert presentations, online workshops and messaging toolkits are resources we employ to engage stakeholders and ensure positive and authentic communication leads the engagement.
Strategy development
We can provide independent expert input to ensure you are drawing on the latest research and best practice for developing walkability or active transport strategy.
This work will provide you and your team with the evidence base to inform decision-makers and ensure walking is considered in future projects and funding.
Our expertise is in creating environments where all types of walking is supported: for transport needs; community liveability; health and wellbeing; or urban planning objectives.
Mapping
Walking is by far the most popular recreational activity in Australia. We are able to harness walking’s mass appeal and assist walkers to discover local areas.
Whether the goal is to promote nature assets and walking trails, or conduct active living campaigns, our user-friendly and shareable maps can help.
Our team can create digital maps that look great on mobile devices for a client to share, or we can include promotion of local area maps on our social media and eNews platforms.
